This is the stretch of the Dee that exits the lake and ends at the confluence with
the Tryweryn.
Fishing is from both banks.
Species present are mostly coarse fish; perch, roach, pike and grayling. Salmon and
sea trout migrate through here. Minnows, bullheads and loaches are here in fewer
numbers as are brown trout.
In summer perch and roach are dominant with pike present.
During autumn and winter trotting with a worm for grayling can be productive. There
are good grayling here during this time.
Any legal method is allowed including fly, spinners/lures, worm, maggot, groundbaiting,
sweetcorn etc. There is parking on the roadside near Bala Sailing club - avoiding
